Property Features: The top of the Island is a flat, cleared plateau measuring 110m x 40m with an elevation of 10.5m over river level. Views are 360 degrees and unobstructedThere is enough water depth and space to accommodate large yachts on the property´s southern side. The remains of a jetty mark this location. In the past there has been a homestead and a fresh water well on the Island 100 year old chestnut trees are a vegetation focus on the Island´s plateau together with peach, plum, cherry and apple tress. Native Chilean trees and introduced eucalyptus cover the sides of the island.
There is good tidal flow around the Island due to it´s close proximity to the Pacific and also because it is situated where the mouth of the Guacamayo River joins the Valdivia River.
The adjacent everglades and waterways are a habitat for bird and marine life. The are no plagues of mosquitoes or sandflies that are characteristic of tropical everglades. |
